Comment: The skin covers almost everything. As seen in the pictures the way corners were cut allows some part of the device to be open. Honestly I prefer they did the corners this way because otherwise the corners will be too tiring to work with (based on experience). The material of the skin adds grip to your device.
It also makes your device look shiny-er perfect for my MH4U LE N3DSXL.
This material also has the orange peel look at a certain angle but negligible.
Room for improvement for me will be to cut the inner camera skin to two. I had a hard time aligning it since it is a long piece and the solution dried out quickly. Also the ABXY and DPad holes are too big for my liking. Other than that the Skinomi Techskin is perfect for protecting your device against scratches.

Comment: Since there is no hard cases to the NEW Nintendo 3DS I gravitated towards this and man I was super impressed! Like...really impressed! The design is very complicated yet super easy to apply and the spray that comes with it makes it so you can line up the skin perfectly to your device. Because this product has done so well with a device as complicated to cover as a 3DS I would 100 recommend it to even devices as simple as phones.
Ive had the skin on my NEW 3DS now for maybe a month or 2 still hasnt come off no peeling no scratches and covers 99 of the device. Covers places Im surprised they even thought of. And if you follow the instruction video and let the device dry basically following all the rules the the T then you cant even tell that its on at all. Except for a few finger prints here and there but they clean off easy as if you didnt have the skin on at all. Covers the outside the hinges the inside where the buttons are (but not the actual buttons or control pad) the screens even tiny strips. and the skin curves around to the corners of the device. its freaking great honestly.

Comment: This skin is actually quite perfect for anyone that wants to protect their limited edition (or normal 3DS XL even) from scratches scuffs and persistent finger prints but not wanting to use bulky clear protector cases. So long as installation instructions are followed the result will be fantastic. The top shell and bottom shell will look more glossy and shinier than before which will make your 3DS really pop out from the crowd. The rest of the pieces that cover the body of the 3DS will also be quite shiny as well as provide some extra grip and protection to your console. If you dont want to put those pieces on you dont have to.
Overall the final result leaves me pleased as I dont need to worry about getting little scratches and cleaning off fingerprints. Plus my 3DS is quite pleasing to look at even more now.
