Comment: After being referred by a friend to Skinomi products as a better value alternative to Invisible shield I was sold ever since. Skinomi has great products but the most amazing thing about them is the price! Although Skinomi gives great deals and service they seem to be lacking a bit in quality control. In this review I will discuss why you should buy Skinomi over other makers but also what Skinomi can do to better make their products.

Price: The price of a skin is probably the most important part. Invisible shield offers full body skins for around $30 for a phone and up to $60 for a tablet. For a tough piece of plastic it is just ridiculous. Skinomi offers amazing prices. I actually got my full body iPad Mini skin on sale for only $0.99 shipping. At this price most people may think its just a cheap Chinese piece of plastic. Well its not.

Quality: The quality of Skinomi skins are much better than regular dry application protectors. These are the real deal. Same type of material that InvisibleShield and other competitors use. The skin holds up quite well too. I have never had a yellowing or peeling problem with my skins. But I have noticed some skins appear to be defective after applying them. I have applied skins before waited for them to set and dry and still days later something was wrong with them. The defect was usually a rainbow haze when the screen was on. Thankfully Skinomi lives up to its warranty and will send me another one free of charge. After applying the new skin there is no problems. So it seems to be a quality control issue that some skins are irregular. Anyhow this is not a big deal if you read the warranty section of my review.

Comment: Bought this for my mini. Fit is great but they failed to mention there is a cut out for the sim tray. If you have a WiFi only model youll have a small hole on the left side of the device.

Comment: Ive tried a couple of different brands of skins and they all do basically the same thing... they protect your device. BUT Skinomi takes it just a wee bit further and allows the skin to wrap the sides and corners of my iPad Mini making an edge to edge fit. Installation was slightly more involved than the other skins Ive used but I expected that due to the extra protection it provides. I would most definitely buy this product again and recommend to anyone looking for a skin versus a case for their portable device.

The ONLY improvement that I would ask for is for Skinomi to make the rear skin more like a molded shell versus a flat skin. Then there would be no seams on the corners and it would provide a much nicer fit and finish and installationalignment would be much simpler.

Comment: I ordered my Skinomi Techskin via Amazon (it was on a great special). Came within 5 days.

Installation was easy and the skin dried completely clear within about 4-6 hours. Provides excellent protection with virtually no added weight

Comment: Great concept allows easy adjusting beautiful result--sturdy but crystal clear. However requires patient to apply since it still can be moved after applying for a while and at the curves you have to keep pressing the film in order for it to stick. Take me almost an hour to finish.
